MADE IN NAMIBIA
Sharing the same birth-year as Namibia, and in celebration of its 29th existence, Namibia’s biggest shopping centre, Wernhil, last year hosted its debut MADE IN NAMIBIA exhibition leading up to the country’s 29th Independence celebrations!
This year marks a proud 30 years of existence for both, Namibia and Wernhil Shopping Centre and in light of this, it is once again, Wernhil’s passion to support our Namibian people as well as bringing Namibia to our people, all under one roof. The MADE IN NAMIBIA event is aimed at showcasing, and creating awareness on proudly Namibian products, services, entrepreneurs and talent. It is focused at creating awareness of the creativity and business expertise of our Namibian people and also to give Namibian products a platform for promotion, while enabling upcoming entrepreneurs to market their products and services.
In addition, we would like this event to also educate and encourage shoppers to support Namibian products which can result in job creation and sustainability. To motivate other upcoming entrepreneurs that regardless of the economic downturn, they should be brave and not give in. Last year’s exhibition hosted 17 exhibitors that showcased exquisite traditional cuisine, local produced products and services, and plenty of authentic Namibian entertainment, with artists entertaining the audience and exhibition goers with their original sounds and creations. Recycling was also strongly promoted at the MADE IN NAMIBIA exhibition.
Everyone is invited to experience and be entertained in Namibian style at this year’s MADE IN NAMIBIA event from 13-20 March 2020, it promises to be bigger and better as we celebrate 30 years of Namibian Independence and 30 years since Wernhil’s initial inception!
